Enrollment and Attendance FAQs

Who is eligible to attend Hoosier College and Career Academy (HCCA)?

Any student in grade 7–12 who resides in Indiana and meets the attendance and grade requirements outlined below is eligible for enrollment. We’ll approve students on a first-come, first-served basis until each grade has reached capacity or until all programs have reached their individual cap.

Can I enroll my child in both HCCA and another school?

No, HCCA is a full-time, public school that does not permit dual enrollment.

What does it cost to attend HCCA?

HCCA is a public school, so there is no tuition. We provide Indiana-licensed teachers and instructional materials. Students and families will be responsible for providing some common household materials (such as printer ink and paper).

What is the attendance policy?

As Indiana public school students, all HCCA students must comply with the state-required minimum number of attending 180 instructional days.

Can our family take a vacation during the school year?

The school calendar includes school holidays or vacation time. Whenever possible, family vacations should align with school vacation days. Parents are encouraged to contact their teacher if they plan a vacation that does not coordinate with the school calendar.
